What Do I Do?
Thank you for volunteering to support your child’s team as a Team Parent. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and noticed. As a team parent, your role is to be the link of communication from the parents and coordinators.
Team Parent Duties Include:
Responsibilities:
- Each parent will have access to Sport connect and team parent will provide parents’ with your team’s information (phone numbers, parents/players names, roster)
- Organize post game snacks with team families. This is one of the most important rewards for the kids and they look forward to their after-game snacks
- Coordinate distribution of the chocolate box fundraiser and uniforms.
- Volunteer duties - at higher age levels, there are a lot of things parents need to do on gameday; keep score, work concessions, and help with field set-up, etc.
- Tball don't have to worry about this unless they decide to do a Friday night under the lights game at the Club Field.
- Coordinate distribution of trophies at the end of the season.
Tips:
- Remind parents/players of assigned time and location for practice, games, and events.
- Remind parents/players of the uniform of the day.
- Remind parents about WSLLL volunteer planned activities, (hanging new shades, cleaning sheds, etc...)
